The management and information technology department is committed to helping you succeed in your undergraduate career. To ensure ample opportunity for us to guide you in your undergraduate progress, plan a meeting with your advisor at least once a semester.

Business Advisement Center

We want to provide our students with all of the resources they will need to reach their goals. We have a Business Advisement Center specifically to aid students of the College of Business.

Undergraduate advising

To be assigned an advisor, contact the Business Advisement Center located in Glass Hall 276. If you have forgotten who is assigned as your advisor, log in to My Missouri State and select the Student tab, then Student Profile link.

Once you have been assigned an advisor, contact your advisor directly to schedule appointments for advising. If you have completed fewer than 60 hours, you are required to speak with and receive your advisor’s release to register for classes.

Graduate advising

You must receive advisor release prior to registering for each semester of graduate study. Graduate students are also required to submit an advisor-approved program of study to the Graduate College before 14 hours have been completed.

Transfer advising

As a transfer student in the department of management and information technology, you are invited to schedule an appointment with the Business Advisement Center to determine what requirements you have left to complete. In some cases, you may be pre-approved to take an online course at MSU while concurrently enrolled at your current school. This allows you to begin fulfilling MSU program requirements.

We work closely with each transfer student to develop a personalized degree plan to complete your degree in a timely fashion. With most students who have completed an Associate of Arts degree, our degrees may be completed in two years taking 15 hours per semester. Please make an appointment with our transfer advisor.
